New dermatology practice opens in Prince Frederick

Prince Frederick, MD (Aug. 10, 2007) - Dr. Faris I. Hawit has opened a new practice, Calvert Dermatology, in Prince Frederick. He will provide general dermatology services for both adults and children.
Hawit will provide care for all diseases of the skin, hair, and nails. Some examples include various types of skin cancer, atypical moles, acne, psoriasis, eczema, rosacea, as well as skin allergies and rashes.
"Most of us don't understand the importance of healthy skin until we have a problem with it. Skin is the body's largest organ, it is important to keep your skin, hair, and nails healthy with prevention, treatment and maintenance," said Hawit. "I have the best job around-helping patients of all ages to feel better, look their best and stay healthy is great."
Hawit graduated at the top of his class from The Johns Hopkins Medical School in 2001. He completed his dermatology residency at Columbia University, St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital in Manhattan, New York. Throughout his training, he saw a broad spectrum of medical conditions of the skin and a wide range of ages. He also worked with cosmetic and skin cancer specialists.
