Dr. Bhinder has a wide range of experience in liver disease and general gastroenterology. He comes to us from the University of Arkansas, a major tertiary care center serving the mid-southern states, where he completed a three-year fellowship in gastroenterologyand hepatology.

He is passionate about the early detection of colorectal cancer and stresses the importance of screening. Dr. Bhinder routinely performs colonoscopies and esophagogastroduodenoscopies (EGD) but is skilled at more advanced procedures such as ERCP (an endoscopic procedure to evaluate and treat conditions of the bile duct and pancreas) and argon plasma coagulation treatment as well as video capsule endoscopy and hemorrhoid banding, which are now offered in his office.

Dr. Bhinder is available for gastroenterology consultations. His outpatient services include treatment for acid reflux and prolonged heartburn. He is particularly interested in the genetics and familial risk of colon cancer. He also evaluates patients who have been admitted for GI issues, such as anemia or GI bleeding. His elderly patients benefit from a specialist who has handled a large number of similar patients during his fellowship in geriatric medicine.
