Ms. Fernandez, PAC, is an integral member of the CPMPM team and works closely with the physicians to help carry out the patient’s treatment plan with follow-up appointments, monitoring their care and condition, ordering and interpreting lab tests, providing patient education and writing prescriptions.
She has worked in the area of pain management since 2009 and received her certification as a physician assistant from Anne Arundel Community College and a master’s of medical science from St. Francis University in Pennsylvania.
Prior to becoming a physician assistant, she worked as an engineer receiving her undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. She currently is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Maryland Academy of Physician Assistants and has her certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
She enjoys the opportunity to work in the area of pain management to help patients cope with their chronic pain and to help them function better to lead a productive life.
