Weight Management Options
We offer several weight management classes and programs that can be processed through payroll deduction. Each weight management program costs $10.00 per month per option, per person, which is processed as a $4.62 biweekly payroll deduction per option. Employees (and family members) can choose from the four options below. You (or your family members) can sign up for multiple options.
Option 1: Weigh to Wellness
A weekly weigh in session and 30-minute nutrition or exercise discussion. Weigh to Wellness sessions also function as a support group to help you meet your goals in weight management. Weekly emails and handouts provided. Schedule of classes will be available at sign-up sessions.
Option 2: Nutritional Counseling
If you need more personalized one-on-one help and motivation, consider Nutritional Counseling with a registered dietitian. Your initial session is a one hour nutritional assessment with an individualized meal plan and recommendations. A total of six (6) follow-up sessions are included as well. The follow-up sessions are each 30 minute, individual appointments with a registered dietitian. Scheduled at your convenience.
Option 3: Weight Loss for Life Class
Jump start your weight loss and get a good foundation on what it takes to lose and keep the weight off for good with Weight Loss For Life. This six-week group program consists of 45 minutes of nutritional education with a registered dietitian and 45 minutes of group fitness instruction with a personal trainer. Classes are held on Wednesdays 5:30p.m.-7p.m. at the Patuxent Health Center in Prince Frederick. A complete schedule of classes will be available at sign-up sessions.
Upon completion of Weight Loss For Life, you can select one (1) of the following options to help you continue your weight management progress and keep you on track:
12 Weeks of Weigh To Wellness Classes
12 Weeks of Fit To Wellness Classes (30-minute group circuit training class under the direction of a trainer. Includes weekly weigh-ins.)
Weight Loss For Life Plus (Continuation of Weight Loss For Life with new topics and fitness program)
Option 4: Weight Loss Coaching
If you don’t have time to attend a meeting or class but would like help and support to succeed at weight loss, you can consider Weight Loss Coaching. Receive an online nutritional analysis and diet assessment with a personalized plan for improving your personal nutritional health. Also, receive an individualized meal plan and two weeks of personalized menu options, as well as three (3) 15-minute phone consultations, scheduled at your convenience.
