Community Mourns Loss of Highly Respected, Beloved Surgeon
The Calvert Memorial Hospital family is grieving the loss of our friend and colleague, Sheldon E. Goldberg, MD, who devoted his professional life to Calvert County for the past 25 years.
Dr. Goldberg, a highly respected surgeon and Medical Director of our Center for
Breast Care, made innumerable contributions to our hospital and community. In addition to caring for thousands of surgical patients, he was an accomplished musician and used his talents to benefit many local non-profit organizations including our hospital foundation, Calvert Hospice, the College of Southern Maryland and Caring for Calvert's Kids, among others.
Calvert Memorial Hospital is committed to working collaboratively with Dr. Goldberg's office staff to provide uninterrupted care to his patients.
Our hearts go out to the Goldberg family, friends—many at our hospital—and others who were touched by Dr. Goldberg’s service and dedication to others. His passion for life and commitment to serving our community will be remembered with love and admiration.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Breast Care at CMH of which Dr. Goldberg was the medical director and instrumental in establishing. Click here to make a donation online or mail your contribution to:
