The Calvert Memorial Hospital Foundation Scholarship Fund provides tuition assistance to students who are pursuing higher education in medicine and allied health fields.
Allied Health Scholarship Fund
Funded by a generous endowment from the Calvert Arundel Medical Facilities, Inc., this scholarship supports the continuing education efforts of local students in pursuit of their chosen allied health field.
Applications for an Allied Health Scholarship are due by April 30 of each year. In order to apply, you must be a full-time student who is presently accepted at an accredited school of nursing or other allied health curriculum offering a course of study leading to licensure as a practical or registered nurse or other allied-health related classification.
- Open to residents of Calvert, Charles, St. Mary’s and Anne Arundel counties
- Preference is given to residents of Calvert and Anne Arundel
- Applicants must have been a resident of Maryland for at least one year
- Recipients are not required to replay the Foundation or accept employment

E. Anne Spitzer, MD Memorial Scholarship
The E. Anne Spitzer, MD Memorial Scholarship was created in 1988 with funding by friends, family and the Calvert County Medical Society to encourage Calvert County residents to seek careers as medical doctors in honor of the late family medicine physician. The CMH medical staff has provided ongoing financial support for the scholarship.
Students who have graduated from a Calvert County high school and have been accepted into an accredited medical school may apply for the E. Anne Spitzer, MD Memorial Scholarship.
