Updates on IDF Center in Calvert
PLANS FOR PATIENTS OF IDF CALVERT CENTER AND DR. CIARAN BROWNE:
Update: 7/27/12 – A blog has been established to house ongoing updates about the dialysis center. Click here to read the most recent posts.
As many of you may have heard, a fire last Thursday at the Independent Dialysis Foundation-Calvert Dialysis Center in Prince Frederick has temporarily rendered the facility closed. Fortunately, there were no patients in the building at the time of the fire and all staff members were able to exit the building without injury. Thank you to all the Calvert Memorial Hospital staff members who assisted IDF and Dr. Browne in making new arrangements for patients and ensuring there were no interruptions to patient care and treatment schedules. All patients have been contacted and their treatments are continuing at either Calvert Memorial Hospital or at Renal Care Partners of Prince Frederick (in the evening after normal Renal Care Partners hours). All patients will continue to be cared for by IDF staff and Dr. Browne in these temporary locations and Dr. Browne will continue to accept new patients as usual.
You can reach Dr. Browne and her office staff by calling (410) 414-2119. Patients or physicians who need assistance from IDF can call Kelley Brown at (410) 468-0900. Building repairs are already underway and updates will be updated here for patients and families as well as IDF’s site which is www.idfdn.org.
