Spotlight Music Series
Calvert Memorial Hospital Foundation’s popular Spotlight Music Series will present “Pasta & Puccini” at the newly renovated Mamma Lucia Italian Restaurant in Dunkirk on Monday, April 22 at 6:30 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the Sheldon E. Goldberg Center for Breast Care at CMH.
Mamma Lucia’s will unveil their grand renovation by presenting a sumptuous five-course dinner paired with My Luca wines interspersed with delightful selections of light opera and musical theater.
Seasoned performers Kellie McHugh, David Merrill, Bennett Umhau and Sandy Griese will lend their musical talents to this gala evening of classical song and fine dining. They will be joined by special guest artist Ramona Crowley-Goldberg with Robin Henshaw as director and producer.
“We are very grateful to Mamma Lucia’s for hosting such a wonderful event,” said Kasia Sweeney, administrative chair for the breast center, “and are excited to have such a talented group of performers who believe so strongly in giving back to the local community.”
The cost is $50 per person (plus gratuity) and $25 is tax deductible. Seating is limited so purchase your tickets early. You can click here to purchase tickets online or call the CMH Foundation at 410-535-8178. They are also available at Mamma Lucia’s in Dunkirk or Prince Frederick.
The menu includes zucchini soup, spinach salad with walnuts, cranberries and balsamic vinaigrette; lobster ravioli drizzled with shrimp and crabmeat pink cream sauce; stuffed pork loin served with fried polenta and mixed berry tart featuring fresh berries and mint.
“We are so pleased to be able to share our musical talents for such a great cause,” said Henshaw, a breast cancer survivor and CMH Foundation board member. “Music can be a powerful and healing force for people confronting cancer as well as for their families and friends.”
