Calvert Surgical Care

Calvert Surgical Care offers comprehensive surgical consultation and treatment for the full spectrum of general surgical needs for adults and older children.

General surgery covers a wide range of procedures performed on almost any organ or system of the body, typically focusing on the abdomen and its contents – the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder and bile ducts, and often the thyroid gland. General surgeons also deal with diseases involving the skin, breast, soft issue and hernias.

Calvert Physician Associates’ board-certified surgeons specialize in minimally invasive procedures whenever they are appropriate for the patient. Our general surgeons perform procedures in one of Calvert Memorial Hospital’s six operating suites. Most procedures are performed on an out-patient basis, and our surgeons have admitting privileges to the hospital if an overnight stay is required.
